This series is composed of vintage lithographies purchased at the Museu da Cidade, Palácio da Pimenta on the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake, printed over with inkjet print and colored pencil. The images depict the effects of the earthquake, printed once with less ink and again with more ink and clearer outlines. The custom framing emphasizes the shaking and disruption of the event. The coloring in the sky references the reports at the time, in the aftermath of a tsunami caused by the earthquake and then rampant fires, that the sky had streaks of greens, reds, and purples.
